In my opinion, the Regency era was one of the most romantic periods in all of history. Something about the dresses, fancy balls, afternoon tea, daily promenades, and flowers delivered from an admirer just makes me swoon!
I also think springtime is the most romantic season. Witnessing the blooming flowers and feeling the warm sun on my skin makes me feel all romantic and twitterpated. So I thought, why not combine my love for spring with my love for the Regency era, to create one of the most romantic dates in all of Diva history?!

What Is the Regency Era?
Before I jump into the details of this date, let’s give you a quick lesson about what the Regency era is. You may impress your wife with your new knowledge! 😉
In British history, the Regency era spans from 1795 to 1837, with the official Regency period lasting from 1811 to 1820. This era is marked by the reign of George, Prince of Wales, as King Regent during his father’s illness.
Think Bridgerton, Queen Charlotte, and Pride and Prejudice. Men wearing top hats, women in dresses, horse-drawn carriages, string quartets, and debutante balls.
Debutante balls took place during the social season, which started in spring and lasted through summer. This is when England’s wealthy and elite left their homes in the country and moved into their homes in the city, typically being London. Most families spent the social season presenting their daughters to society with the goal of finding a suitor.
