Despite rising competition and shifting consumer habits, leading dating apps have just posted what is allegedly their most lucrative month on record. According to new industry estimates, Tinder, Bumble, and Hinge collectively brought in $311 million in gross revenue in April 2025, marking their best monthly performance to date. This comes at the same tme as monthly consumer spending on apps has skyrocketed, which tools like identifier apps seeing major revenue – something that likely also spills over to dating platforms.

Together, these three industry-giant apps have generated an estimated $4 billion in user spending since the beginning of 2024. This revenue growth comes as all three platforms have introduced higher subscription prices and expanded monetization strategies. Hinge, in particular, has significantly raised the cost of its basic subscription, with prices now reaching as high as $45 per month depending on the user’s age and location — more than double what the same tier cost in 2020.

Tinder continues to dominate, bringing in an estimated $171 million in April alone, a 35% increase from January 2024. Bumble followed with $76 million in user spending for the month, up 25% over the same period, despite backlash over recent changes that reduced free features. Hinge, though the smallest of the three, showed the fastest growth rate — its April revenue of $64 million marked a 67% jump from January.

These results suggest that, even as artificial intelligence and new platforms reshape the app landscape, demand for established dating services remains strong. Increased monetization doesn’t appear to have curbed user spending, and in Hinge’s case, may have significantly boosted it. If current trends hold, Hinge could soon surpass Bumble in revenue performance, signaling a potential shakeup in the dating app hierarchy.
