    This premium market’s rise coincides with broader dissatisfaction with swipe‑based apps. Match Group reported eight straight quarters of decline in Tinder subscriptions, and “swipe fatigue” has been linked to waning engagement and reduced spending among Millennials and Gen Z. Users who grow exhausted with conventional swiping structures generally have two alternate choices – more unique and user-tailored platforms, or professional matchmaking services, both of which have seen major gowht in recent months.

    Market forecasts reflect this shift. According to data on MENAFN, the global online dating and matchmaking sector is expected to expand from $9 billion in 2024 to over $14 billion by 2029–2030, propelled by rising demand for both algorithmic and traditional matchmaking services. Current trends suggest that this will happen as users choose quality over quantity, focusing on tailored platforms that either offer a meaningful alternative to the normal “swiping game” or provide a premium matchmaking experience.
