On its path to becoming an ‘AI-First company’, dating app Hinge is looking to hire a Vice President of Artificial Intelligence. The executive will lead a team of data and machine learning experts to create and adopt AI-powered features for the dating app.
According to a job listing posted by parent company Match Group, the new VP of AI will be looking at using AI for areas such as “user safety, bad actors/algorithms, recommendation engine, AI-generated interactions, etc”.
Reporting to Hinge’s Chief Technology Officer, the individual would ideally have a Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or a similar field. Furthermore they would ideally have experience in a similar product-led tech company, the listing shares.
Among the responsibilities in this role is ‘AI Ethics’, designing machine learning models that are fair, transparent, and accountable. Another key area is keeping abreast of the latest trends, platforms, and best practices relating to AI.
The salary package shared is $332,000 – $398,000 a year, with factors such as experience and business considerations needing to be taken into account. The role will be a hybrid position, but based in New York City.
