Roblox is a popular video game, which many associate with young children. However its CEO David Baszucki hinted that the platform could one day foster dating-focused experiences.
During his speech at the Roblox Developer’s Conference, Baszucki hinted that over the next five years the platform could potentially be a meeting spot for adults seeking romantic connections.
The video game has recently added certain experiences that are restricted to users who are 17 and above. This could set the groundwork for dating experiences in the future, reports GameRant.
The platform describes itself as “the ultimate virtual universe that lets you create, share experiences with friends, and be anything you can imagine”. It promises that users can “discover an infinite variety of immersive experiences created by a global community!”
While we have seen different metaverse platforms provide dating-focused experiences, Roblox would be a game-changing addition to this innovative way of bringing people together online.
