Royalem is a new dating app concept inspired by the royal matchmaking of 1800s England, but with the support of modern technology. The developers of Royalem are looking to raise $1 million to bring the platform to life.
The dating app, which looks to launch in Los Angeles in its first phase, will aim to foster IRL and online connections.
Its online portion will revolve around activities taking place each weekend. The “Queen’s Ball” will encourage users to like, love or pass on potential matches. This leads to the “Selection Soiree” where matches are confirmed and couples can continue to communicate.
The platform also looks to organise offline events, where premium members can get together in luxurious mansions. Looking to “mimic the grandeur of the British social season”, Royalem shares that these IRL events will be sophisticated and exclusive.
Royalem plans to have users interact mostly on weekends, which “adds a touch of anticipation and excitement, reminiscent of the social seasons of yesteryear, where every encounter was an event in itself”, it explains.
The dating app’s developers, Social Serene, are now looking to raise $1 million to make this concept a reality.
“With this round of funding, Social Serene aims to scale up Royalem by enhancing the app’s unique features, expanding its in-person event offerings, and ensuring an unmatched user experience”, it shared in a recent press release.
