AI-Powered Matchmaker ‘Laguna’ Targets Dating Pain Points

    [ad_1]

With AI becoming increasingly interconnected with the modern dating scene, it’s no surprise that more apps are taking advantage of it. Laguna, a new AI-powered matchmaking app, launched earlier this month with a focus on addressing common frustrations in the online dating world – using artificial intelligence to create a personalised daily match that tries to limit fatigue and uncomfortable interactions.

Unlike traditional dating apps that rely on endless swiping, Laguna introduces a more thoughtful approach. Users receive one personalized introduction per day, with the focus being on quality over quantity. The app’s intelligent matchmaking system provides compatibility insights based on users’ personality traits, values, and psychological profiles, all derived from answering just three confidential questions.

Laguna’s co-founders, Sonny (machine learning expert) and Ben (UX design expert), emphasize that the app is designed to eliminate “swipe fatigue” and provide users with a personalized experience typically only available through costly matchmaking services. This is similar to the attitudes that a lot of other dating platforms have taken in recent months, especially now that many users are feeling the fatigue of conventional dating apps.

Laguna is currently available for free on the App Store, and is obviously still in its early stages of release – but if the platform works as intended and continues to grow, it could become a worthy competitor to other current AI-powered platforms and matchmaker services.
