Bumble has continued its focus on in-person events this holiday season by taking over Uncle Chieng’s iconic Ice Cream Cart in Singapore, meant to create an in-person source of connections ahead of the new year. Every weekend throughout December, Bumble users can visit the cart from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. to receive complimentary ice cream, limited to the first 200 participants who present their Bumble profiles. Alongside the ice cream, visitors will have access to dating advice based on insights from Bumble’s latest trends report.
To further integrate the initiative into its platform, Bumble has introduced an “ice cream interest” badge within the app. This allows users to highlight their interest in ice cream, making it easier to connect with others who share similar preferences.
The ice cream cart activation is part of a broader campaign by Bumble to create opportunities for singles to connect both online and offline.This has included partnerships with running clubs, multimedia artists, and a number of other groups that can help to host in-person events and activities for singles.
Chen Meihui, Bumble’s APAC communications lead, made it clear that 2025 is likely going to see “big shift towards real-ness in the dating game”, and that blending in-person connections with the resource s of platforms like Bumble should “help singles find meaningful connections while spreading holiday cheer”.
