Faye Iosotaluno, CEO of Tinder, has announced she will step down from her role in July, ending an almost eight-year tenure at Match Group that included two years of leading the dating app through a period of product innovation and AI-driven transformation. Iosotaluno shared the news via LinkedIn, reflecting on her time overseeing strategic expansion, mentoring talent, and introducing new features aimed at redefining Tinder’s position in the dating landscape.
Having taken on the CEO role in January 2024, Iosotaluno focused on personalizing user experiences by integrating AI more deeply into Tinder’s recommendation systems. Her departure comes as the app continues to adapt to shifting user expectations and a broader slowdown in engagement across the online dating market.
Her successor will be Match Group CEO Spencer Rascoff, who was appointed earlier this year to lead a broader turnaround effort across the portfolio. Rascoff has already overseen significant restructuring, including a 13% workforce reduction following a decline in paying users during Q1 2025 – an will be taking direct control over Tinder’s reins for the time being.
Rascoff praised Iosotaluno’s leadership and the strong foundation she helped build, noting that Tinder’s leadership team is now aligned around “building products that meet the moment” and evolving to reflect the needs of a changing global audience.
