Jay Shetty Offers Relationship Guidance as Match’s New Relationship Advisor

Match has announced that Jay Shetty, global bestselling author, award-winning podcast host of On Purpose, and purpose-driven entrepreneur, has joined the dating leader as its new Relationship Advisor.

The partnership sees Jay and Match team up on new product features and content designed to encourage people to be more open, confident, curious, honest, and vulnerable in their dating journey. The pairing comes after Match’s 13th Annual Singles in America Study revealed that 20% of singles who are actively dating feel that no one is right for them.

Talking about their quest to reimagine the dating journey from profile building to first date, Jay says: “We’re asking daters to focus on what truly matters to them – without falling into the habit of dismissing potential matches.”

“For some time, I’ve envisioned a platform where individuals could put dating and relationship guidance into practice. We’ve created a space on Match where people can authentically focus on themselves and adopt a fresh approach to dating.”

Match has integrated Jay’s expertise and guidance on first dates, love, and relationships across various touchpoints. The Jay Shetty x Match ‘Date Differently Challenge’ encourages members to identify and overcome their biggest dating obstacle, while a new Core Values feature will help Match members lead the profiles with what matters most to them, from family and faith to compassion and gratitude, ambition, optimism and even adventure.

A ‘Content Hub for Deeper Connection’ sees Jay impart his wisdom on love, connection and dating more intentionally via a host of dedicated in-app resources. When matches reach the date planning stage, Jay is on hand to help with first date ideas for more meaningful interactions.

“How we meet, date and form relationships continues to evolve – in partnership with Jay, we hope to address some of the pain points daters have been experiencing, and build for the future,” said Dushyant Saraph, GM at Match. “We’re so excited to bring Jay’s insights and wisdom to our community of intentional daters. He has a unique ability to connect and guide people through various life stages, and our partnership will help more people find “the one.”

Match hopes the new features will enable daters to discover better matches and more authentic dates. The Jay Shetty partnership is the latest development in Match’s mission to breathe new life into dating and comes on the heels of a new ‘72 hours’ feature debuted by the dating service last year to give date-ready singles an opportunity to skip straight to meeting in real life sooner.
