Breeze and Bolt Partner on Safety-Focused Dating Guide

Breeze has partnered with ride-hailing service Bolt to launch a joint safety initiative timed for early 2026 dating activity. The collaboration combines practical transportation support with a free “A Safer Way to Date” guide offering nine actionable tips for first dates. The guide emphasizes preparation, clear boundaries, and post-date reflection.

Key recommendations include sharing plans and location with a trusted contact, traveling independently, respecting mutual limits, and reporting concerns through the app. It avoids rigid rules, instead providing tools to help users maintain comfort and control throughout the experience. As part of the partnership, Breeze users receive a button in date confirmation emails to book Bolt rides directly to and from meetups. New Bolt users booking via Breeze get a 40% discount on their first trip.

Breeze co-founder Marco van der Woude highlighted the intent: “At Breeze we believe that real encounters should be fun, exciting and, above all, safe. By working with Bolt we help users feel protected, from the first match to the drive home.” Bolt Netherlands General Manager Noud Ottens added: “If people feel safe, they can focus on what is really important: the connection.”

A recent Breeze poll found 34% of users often or always feel concerned about safety during first meetings. The partnership addresses this by embedding transportation and safety education into the dating flow, aligning with Breeze’s model of moving users quickly from matching to supervised, real-world venues where staff are trained to monitor interactions. By focusing on practical, user-controlled safety measures rather than purely algorithmic solutions, Breeze and Bolt aim to support confident in-person dating in a market where many still cite safety as a major barrier to meeting offline.
