I Stopped Checking Who Hurt Me
Remember that ex who cheated? Or that friend who smiled while doing you dirty?
Here’s something I finally learned: you don’t need to stalk their social media to confirm they were terrible to you. If someone poisoned your peace once, that’s enough evidence. Really.
- Rotten fruit falls on its own.
You don’t need to shake the tree. Time does the humiliating for you.
Not Everyone Is Meant to Like You
This one hit hard, actually.
- You might be the sweetest peach on the tree — but some people just don’t like peaches.
And that’s okay. You’re not here to rebrand yourself into a banana for someone else’s taste.
Come to think of it, rejection hurts less when you stop taking it personally and start taking it accurately.
Your Body Is Not the Enemy
Your body is literally the vessel through which you experience life. Every laugh, every heartbreak, every late-night craving. So why treat it like garbage?
- Eat better
- Work out consistently
- Sleep like it matters — because it does
You don’t need 20 filters that are only slightly different from each other. A good physique, clean dressing, and a calm facial expression? That does more than you think. There’s something quietly erotic about someone who looks taken care of — by themselves.
Living Their Dreams Will Burn You Out
You’re scared to disappoint your parents by not pursuing their passions. I get it. But here’s the truth no one says out loud:
If you keep choosing their dreams over yours, you’ll either burn out or resent everyone — including yourself. Slowly. Silently.
And honestly, that disappointment you’re avoiding? It just gets postponed — with interest.
Be Cringe. Be Free.
- If doing what fulfills you makes you a “cringey loser” to others — be the biggest cringe loser alive.
Fulfillment looks embarrassing to people who gave up.
There’s something attractive about someone who doesn’t apologize for joy.
Silence Is Not Professionalism
Having problems or challenges at work is normal.
- Not voicing them with the intent to solve them is not.
Suffering quietly doesn’t make you strong. It makes you invisible.
Your Thoughts Are Recycled — Interrupt Them
You’ll have about 80% of the same thoughts every day. Same fears. Same doubts. Same mental loops.
So do something radical. Pick up a book. Read something that wasn’t written by your own anxiety.
Some Seasons Are About Survival
Some phases of life? You’ll only be able to show up.
Not shine. Not win. Just show up.
And that is fine. That is okay. That is enough.
Walk It Off (Seriously)
Most bad days can be fixed by putting your phone down and going for a walk.
Most relationships are mirrors. They show you parts of yourself — good and ugly.
- And if you’re always the one being disrespected, drained, or hurt…
You might be the common denominator.
That’s not shame. That’s power.
Because once you see it — you can change it.
And that, actually, changes everything.
