Bumble Inc’s President, Tariq Shaukat, will be stepping down from the role in September 2023. The dating brand shared that this decision was made voluntarily and that Shaukat will be moving to an advisory role during a transitional period.
In light of this news, Bumble has shared that it is now seeking a new executive to join the company’s leadership team.
“Tariq is an outstanding leader and has been an incredible partner over the last few years. He was instrumental in helping to scale Bumble into the leading global platform for kind connections,” said Whitney Wolfe Herd, Bumble’s CEO and Founder.
“We thank him for his invaluable contributions and wish him the best in his next endeavor”, she added.
“My time at Bumble has been one of the most rewarding chapters of my career,” said Shaukat.
“I’m proud of what we have accomplished and so thankful for all the talented people who have been working tirelessly to support the Bumble mission. I am especially grateful for the partnership with Whitney the last several years. It’s an honor to have been a part of something so special”, he shared.
