What is a “great” love?
According to the modern definition, Great LOVE is…
- A person with whom you share a deep passion and enduring bond of love.
- Someone with whom you form an inseparable relationship of love.
- A love relationship often requiring the overcoming of major cultural obstacles, traditions, class distinctions or false beliefs.
Is what Charlotte said true? Do we really ONLY get to have two great loves in our lifetime?
One research carried out by Opera North suggests that….
Most women settle down at the age of 27 – and 33% do so with their FIRST LOVE.
Over four in 10 admit settling for second best and regretting letting their first love go. (This could be a huge rationalization on their part, too, though.)
The survey of 2,000 adults also reveals 41% of people have fallen in love with someone they shouldn’t have.
Yikes…So, what does this all mean?
It might be TRUE that you get to only have two loves in your life – Your FIRST love, and your LAST love.
All the other “loves” that come in between are just passing through to get to your last love.
If you’re looking for that great love, you’ll have to know when you’ve found it. So you can decide right there and then that “THIS IS IT!”
The problem with most women is that they keep on waiting for something BETTER to come along. And sometimes it never does.
(Men are guilty of this one, too.)
“I love him, but maybe if I wait a little longer, my prince charming will come”
The sad part is, Prince Charming will NEVER come because there is no perfect guy out there. And wasted time still passes…and you’ll still end up alone.
You’ll have to be able to recognize LOVE when it comes to your life. Be prepared when it comes knocking or your door – or at least be able to accept it for whatever package it comes in.
Sometimes – as that song in the movie “Frozen” says – he’s a “fixer-upper.”
If you’ve been looking for love and feel like the world is conspiring against you or pushing away every guy you’re interested in, the answer is really simple and it’s the truth.
LIFE is a series of your decisions and choices.
It’s your choice to stay with your first love – or leave to find a better situation, a better man.
You need to realize, there’s no wrong or right here – only decisions that you have to live with, and decide to make the best of. And your decisions can be based on what you thought was the kind of life you should have.
Those misperceptions can be harmful if they were never realistic to begin with, which is why I reveal the reality of relationships from a perspective of both men and women. We have to peel away a bit of the glamor to see the reality.
No matter what happens in your pursuit of love, STAY POSITIVE. And you can do that by making an investment in your love life – and your personal life.
Do what makes you happy, live your life, spread that love to your family and community.
When you do, you’ll exude an almost tangible positivity – and that’s something that’s extremely attractive.
And you’ll never know who’ll be watching, who might be falling in love with you slowly…
Who can be that one lasting and final love.
