Sam Ahn, the CEO of Hyperconnect, will now be taking on the role of Chief Innovation Officer at Match Group Asia. Ahn will be responsible for the Asia-based team that looks to take advantage of AI and other emerging technologies.
Sam Ahn was the co-founder and CEO of Hyperconnect, which operates two social discovery platforms: Azar and Hakuna.
“It has been my honor to lead one of the most talented technology teams in the world at Hyperconnect,” said Sam Ahn. “In this new role, I look forward to exploring new opportunities and growth engines for Hyperconnect and Match Group by combining Match Group’s extensive knowledge and global expertise with Hyperconnect’s top-flight talent and innovative technologies”, he added.
Linda Kim, Hyperconnect’s COO, will now be taking up the CEO position as of October 1st 2023.
